I am a boy who gets lost in play,
Still, I see the world in endless ways,
The pros and cons of being free,
Reflected in skies of eternity.

Deep inside me a bright radiant glow,
Guiding me through every ebb and flow,
In morning's promise, eternal grace,
Dawn firmly grounds me in time and space.

I am no boy adrift, unaware,
Know of grown-up burdens . . . they can share,
I live in light, both day and night,
My soul soars; now I take flight.

Ball arcs through air,
Laughter and joy everywhere,
Boy becomes man,
free,
loved,
grounded,
Firmly planted in this land.

The goal I seek is not "to be seen"
But in majestic places, my soul has been,
Effortlessly I glide through time and space,
Being a man, yet a boy in life’s swift race.
