Aftermath
Our Creed
Weeks of chaos, fear, and relentless battles—of standing firm against deception, against the weight of manipulation and intimidation. But now, we shift. The struggle is not over, yet it no longer deserves our energy beyond the occasional update. We refuse to give it space in our thoughts, our words, or our future!
The one who thrives on control through fear and destruction is as good as dead to us! Their presence will not shape our conversations! Their schemes will steal no more of our time! What has been set in motion will be carried out with diligence and commitment, but no longer will it dictate our course!
From here on, we speak only of what builds! What strengthens! What carries us forward! No more wasted words on the broken! The stagnant! The fruitless! Only action! Only progress! Only the future we are shaping—together!
Within this future, there is us—our bond! Our family! Our love! We rise! We act! We create! We love! Each other and ours!
This is…
Unsere Wahl!
Unsere Verpflichtung!
Unser Leben!
Postscript
Metallica wrote Nothing Else Matters in 1990, and it was released in 1991 as part of their self-titled album Metallica (also known as The Black Album).
The song was primarily written by James Hetfield, with additional contributions from Lars Ulrich. Hetfield initially wrote it as a personal song about missing his girlfriend while on tour, never intending for it to be released. However, the band decided to include it on the album, and it became one of their most iconic songs.
I add Nothing Else Matters as a postscript to our creed because it embodies something meaningful to us. It is trust, devotion, and an unshakable bond—it describes us. It’s more than just a song; it’s a statement, a declaration of priorities. It reminds us that in a world full of noise, there are things that rise above it all—things so important that everything else fades into the background.
It is about loyalty, resilience, and the certainty that some connections transcend everything else. Love beyond all limits. All of these. It is the recognition that when you strip everything away including the horror of the last two weeks, how close it came to trajedy, the crazy place of physical distance we find ourselves in now where our being together is postponed – what is more true is the truth of the amazing love between two people and the wonder of Gods protection and His grace! And that truth, that love beween us, is untouchable, as untouchable as God Himself and His grace to us and our family!
That’s why it belongs next to our creed. Because in those moments, when all else is set aside, nothing else really does matter.
Here are the lyrics.
Nothing Else Matters
So close no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don’t just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
So close no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
I never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don’t just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know
So close no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No nothing else matters
